Anesthesia / Sedation

Two types of general anesthesia exist. General anesthesia causes loss of consciousness of the patient. Local or regional anesthesia only causes loss of feeling within a specific area of the body. But did you know that you may also be sedated with a combination of very safe medicine while remaining conscious?

Dental phobia is a real, often overwhelming reality for thousands of people. Negative previous dental experiences, fear of needles or drills, and severe gag reflexes are just some of the reasons people feel extreme anxiety when thinking about visiting the dentist.

If you suffer from dental phobia we can help you. Glick Dental Associates is committed to understanding the very real nature of your fears and helping you have a pain free dental experience.

Not only will our staff treat you with delicacy and care, but anesthesia will allow you to experience dentistry in a whole new way.

By the way, if the lingering numbness from the local anesthetic has you worried about that interview, presentation or church social coming up after your appointment, worry no more! We are now using Oraverse™, a brand new and revolutionary new product that reverses the effects of the anesthetic within minutes of its application.

For more complex and longer appointments or if you simply suffer from dental phobia, we offer sedation with drugs that will both relax you and have an amnesic effect so that you do not experience any pain. There is usually an option for even the most fearful dental patient so that you can comfortably obtain that gorgeous smile you have dreamed of while remaining completely comfortable throughout your appointment.
